Jachinma Betsy Kalu

Jachinma Kalu (Jachi) is an attorney focusing on corporate and privacy issues in private international law. Jachi has served as Research Assistant at University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security (CHHS)where she drafted and developed privacy policies and compliance guidelines. Jachi also ensured complete, concise and unambiguous reporting of information in the CHHS database before moving to private practice where she served as paralegal to a few boutique law firms in the Washington DC metropolitan area. She later moved to head the compliance department of Universal Site Technologies, where she reviewed contracts, participated in data modelling as well as develop/maintain quality procedures for systems enhancement. She has advised high net worth companies in Nigeria and is already developing firm presence in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Jachi holds an LL.B from Abia State University, an LL.M from University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. Jachi is a graduate of Nigerian Law School, Lagos, Nigeria. Jachi is licensed to practice in Nigeria, and she is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
